Francisco started to work for JD Maresch in South Africa while still a student. He immigrated to Portugal in 1990 where until 2005, he worked with great success on considerable size projects linked to some of the most important municipalities and architects in the country. The involvement in these projects gave Francisco valuable experience in Master Planning, Portuguese Building Law, Construction and Cost Management Services as well as great practical experience of work on site.

Francisco joined Ridler, Shepherd and Low Architects in 2005. In 2006, he joined the newly established DSA Architects International at their Lisbon office where he was appointed Associate Architect in 2011 and Senior Associate in 2016.
